forced to learn Quran?

i'm 22 years old, and a woman who comes from a very religious household. my mom decided to sign me up for Quran classes and gave the teacher my number for them to call me and do classes over the phone.

i know i can just not pick up, but it's a family friend that comes over often and will more than likely ask me irl why i haven't picked up the phone. also a bad look.

i just feel annoyed i am put in a position to be ridiculed, and i never asked to learn. her excuse is that the prophet in her religion was forced to learn so it's okay. bruh.
