Job Summary:
The Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) is seeking a dedicated School Counsellor to support students at Ellenvale Junior High and Woodlawn High School. This permanent position is essential for fostering an inclusive educational environment that promotes the well-being and achievement of every student.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counselling services to students at Ellenvale Junior High (50%) and Woodlawn High School (50%).
• Develop and implement programs that support student mental health and well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and community resources to address student needs.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of counselling sessions.
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to the overall school community.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be fully qualified as per the attached job description.
• Candidates currently enrolled in a relevant Master's program must complete the program by August 31, 2025, and provide a confirmation letter from the university at the time of application.
• Employment is contingent upon providing a satisfactory Criminal Records Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Search.
