UPDATE: AM I OVERREACTION FOR WANTING TO MOVE OUT BCZ MY ROOMMATE PEES IN BOTTLES AND HIDES UNDER THE BED?

UPDATE: Am I overreacting for wanting to move out because my roommate pees in bottles and hides them under the bed?

Hey everyone, just wanted to say thank you for all the responses and wild reactions to my original post lol. I did read through a ton of the comments and honestly, they helped me feel more sane.

So I ended up sitting my roommate down and told him I was planning to move out. I said I couldn't keep living like this, that the bottles were unsanitary and gross, and honestly it made me feel disrespected as someone sharing a space with him. He didn’t say much at first, just nodded a lot. I figured that was it and started looking into sublets.

But surprise when I got home from work the next day, the bottles were gone. All of them. Room smelled like cleaning supplies. He even took out the trash and left a new air freshener plugged in.

He later apologized, said he didn’t realize how far it had gone and that he was “in a rut.” I still feel weird about the whole thing, and I’m not totally sure I want to stay long-term, but for now I’m giving it one last shot.
