Theory on Unnatrual Metroid Prime 4 comparisons to N64 and SNES

On nintendo's comments sections for MP4 Beyond if you sort by new there are people that claim it looks like an N64 game and SNES game, which is unhinged.

My personal theory is that they're grifters making up something to complain about, because Metroid is a beloved award winning series that started with a female protagonist, so they can't justify it with "game bad now because women."

Because 1:
Award Winning
2:
Always has been Samus

What else could be causing people to claim that Mp4 beyond looks like an SNES game or an N64 game?
