What Does It Take to Become an Alcoholic?
The reason I ask this may not be the typical reason. I’m asking this, because in order for this to all be worth it, I need to actually be labeled an alcoholic.
If you’re familiar with my life - I’m attempting to become an alcoholic and quit before the end of 2025 in order to win a bet, which would almost certainly land me $40k.
But the terms of the bet specify that I need to be labeled an alcoholic by a doctor, a therapist, or a large group of social media followers (via a verified poll).
I’m now on day 71 of drinking every single day and despite my excessive consumption, many people are suggesting I’m not an alcoholic because I didn’t approach this as an emotional escape.
Of course, to that, I would ask - do you think I took a forty thousand dollar bet to become an alcoholic and quit because I’m emotionally fulfilled as is?
Either way, I will be drinking every single day.
And I want my motherfucking money.
