Curious about the sales landscape in UK

Hi all, American here. My wife is eligible to apply for UK citizenship, and while moving isn’t an immediate plan, it’s something we’ve started exploring a little more as a 3-year plan because of *gestures wildly to the current state of things*. (Also I own a classic mini, does that make me an honorary citizen?)

I have 10 years of experience in alcohol sales and my most recent past 3 in chemical and food ingredient sales. If we made the move, I’d likely stay in the commodity space rather than move into tech.

I just don’t have any real sense of what the sales job market looks like in the UK. I’m curious to hear what industries are growing, what’s slowing down, and if there’s anything I should avoid entirely. I’ve done some research on pay and economics of what it would take, that I’m less concerned with.
