Do I need a bridging visa b to leave Australia?

I am currently on my student visa Subclass 500 which expires on 15th September 2025

I plan to lodge my Subclass 485 visa in July, once my academic transcripts are available

I want to travel back home to India in late July and comeback early September

I will be applying for bridging visa b so that I can travel

Do I need to wait till my bvb is granted or is it alright if I travel on my student visa and have the bvb handy by the time I'm back?

I'm sure bvb will be granted in a few weeks but waiting for it will delay and shorten my travel

Please give me the best advise 🙏
