IUD Issues

I had my IUD placed last year in January. It has been almost 1 year and 6 months. I was warned about spotting and discomfort for the first couple of days but that’s not the case for me. I’ve been in a committed relationship for 9 months now and when we have intercourse I swear I can sometimes FEEL my IUD. It’s not extremely painful, normally just uncomfortable, but there’s been a few times where it really did hurt. Sometimes when I climax it hurts. Last night we had intercourse and again, I swore I could feel it. All day today I was cramping and spotting. I’m thinking it’s displaced and I have an appointment next Friday to get it looked at by an OBGYN but now I’m thinking I just want it removed. It hasn’t been a pleasant experience and it gives me a lot of anxiety because of possible complications/risks. The only problem is, I don’t know what other method would be best. I had Nexplanon for years, worked great, but I’m not sure if I want to commit to that again. I was thinking just a low-estrogen pill but I’m nervous with how sexually active I am. Thoughts/Advice would be extremely appreciated!
