24yo wondering what are the next steps on how to allocate money?
I’m 24 years old—I don’t really spend or save crazily, but I have money leftover after distributing to my savings/investments and don't know what to do with it. I just want to make sure I’m doing everything right for my future.
Right now, I make $95,000 a year. I moved back home after university, so no rent. Car is paid for. I am starting grad school soon, which on a monthly basis would equate to ~$1600 for the next two years.
I contribute 20% to a Roth 401k, and I’ve maxed out my Roth IRA the past three years. Aside from that, I have about 35k in a brokerage account and 35k in a HYSA. Money in my HYSA goes towards my emergency fund and a future down payment on a house.
I feel like I’ve followed everything on the personal finance flowchart, so my question is what do I do now? Am I missing anything that I could be contributing to or should I be saving more for something?
