I attempted to find the Racoon sanctuary:

“First on our nightly path came the fallen cottonwood—once a towering sentinel of the golf course, now a gentle giant resting along the treeline. Its fall had been nature’s spectacle, but in its second life it became a sanctuary. Its hollows held stories of life and renewal at the edge of the Tanque Verde Wash.”

From the wash along the golf course you could see and hear people playing so I stayed away from the edge. Didn’t take the best pictures and the one provided is one of many trees dead in the wash/edge if the golf course.

A few things. Nothing special, or out of the ordinary, I suspect when we read about them exploring I’m guessing they used the tanque verde wash to head east into the mountains. Also, probably a fun place to metal detect as a kid. Found whatever that electronic part is, too modern but made me think of an aircraft part for a second. Next, the graffiti reminded me of the Netflix graffiti. Also, there is evidence that Brandon, partook.

Also a photo dump of a near by park, which I would suspect was another playground/stomping ground of the young Poseys. Just helps me paint a more accurate pictures of the stories as I read them. It’s too hot, 10 or 10 I do not recommend.
