Just learned about the Flash Technique—has anyone here tried it in their healing practice?

Request for Guidance

I just stumbled across something called the Flash Technique and my interest is officially piqued. It’s a trauma-processing method that’s super gentle—like, you don’t even have to directly dive into the memory for it to work. You basically “flash” your attention away from the distressing stuff while the subconscious still processes things in the background. Mind blown.

From what I’ve gathered, it was developed out of EMDR but doesn’t require someone to fully revisit or talk about their trauma—which in my hypnotherapy practice I understand this concept.

As someone who works with energy, reiki, and hypnosis, I’m really curious how this could complement those tools—especially for folks who are carrying deep stuff but aren’t quite ready to go there yet. It feels like it might fit beautifully alongside Reiki or guided hypno journeys when someone’s system is fragile or already maxed out.

I’m just at the beginning of learning about this technique and would love to hear from anyone who’s either been trained in it or received it. Have you used it in sessions? Is it something a non-therapist practitioner can responsibly offer? Are there trainings you’d recommend?

Would love to open up a convo if anyone’s tried it or integrated it into a more holistic practice!
