Why do people care so much about others recording

I probably pull my phone out to record about 5 times each show depending on how many songs I really really enjoy. It's so funny seeing everyone get so worked up on the internet about people recording, talking about "living in the moment" and "wasting money and not even watching" but why tf do you care? It seems like a lot of themselves aren't watching the show and instead keeping track of who's recording. Some people want to send stuff to people who couldn't attend and it is fun/nostalgic to go back and look at old footage
