The Madness (2023) by JMS and Aco: One Of The Best Graphic Novels I've ever read!
And the hits just keep on coming!
The TLDR version of this review is For The Love Of The Sword By The Lunas, read this!
The full version is that it's about a Super Powered person that can do things like fly and has super strength(but can only have one power at a time) that like Catwoman is a theif that only robs from those that have wealth beyond measure. She decides to do one final run, and steals gold from some middle eastern prince, so the US government hires a bunch of "Good" Supers to firebomb her house. She survives, but it kills her family, and it brings out her alter ego, aka her childhood imaginary friend, and she seeks out revenge.
This is probably darker than The Sword. Not as gory, although it certainly is very gory at times so fair warning about that, but it's extremely dark. It's also got an insanely satisfying ending.
