Evolve with creatures that enter with counters

I'm relatively new to magic and couldn't find the easy answer to this, so I was wondering if I had [[Gyre Sage]] on board, and I played [[Reyhan, Last of the Abzan]], would Gyre Sage see Reyhan as a 0/0 or as a 3/3 and be able to evolve? Since they're both looking at the creature entering, can I order these, or is there a set order for this?
