Shauna's Paranoia

SpoilerTheory

okay everyone,

I feel like I've become such a regular in this subreddit lol. I've done a lot of theorizing and analysis on everything from a trauma and psychological look. now I want to turn more towards motive and the characters messing with each other.

so, previously I've said that Shauna's paranoia could be explained through trauma and everything like that. well, now I want to look at from the perspective of Melissa.

we know that Melissa is a liar. she's faked her death and created a new identity and is married to Hannah's daughter. I want to know more of why she sought out Hannah's daughter and it not just be from some type of guilt. I wonder what else could be there.

Melissa lied to Van when she killed her. Making it seem like she was never into the wilderness stuff and never believed it. this is of course until we hear her say "but I do" when she stabs Van.

so, if we take all of that in to account. Melissa had to have lied to Shauna about her paranoia. making her believe that she's just paranoid about her brakes, the freezer, and the phone. I think that Melissa does have a play in some of that and possibly has people working with her. maybe one of the other characters we haven't seen yet? I know Gen is presumed dead, but I feel like we can't rule out anything yet, especially with how this show goes.

I just want to know if Shauna's paranoia turns out to be real, who all can be behind it? is it just Melissa alone, or is this how we will be introduced to more characters?

I definitely feel like in S4, we're going to get another character reveal. with so many of them being killed off in the adult timeline, I just feel like it makes sense for them to reveal at least one more person.

hell who knows, maybe they all make it back and we truly will have a Yellowjackets reunion lol.
