Hello! I am a new gecko owner as of Saturday! My new gecko, Hizashi, is about 5 months old. This is his current home, and I want to make sure it's okay for him.

Tank details:
It's 36x18x18 inches or approx 40 gallons. On the left I have a 75watt basking bulb which keeps air temp between 90 and 95 degrees depending on the time of day.
I also have a uva/b bulb across the top, but I will only be turning it on sparingly if needed.
The cool side sits between 80-83 degrees consistently, but I will be getting a fan with adjustable speed to add better ventilation so that I can get the temp down just a tad bit more to around 75 degrees.

He is currently on paper towels since he is young and new to me. I want to monitor his bowel movements closely

On the left he has his basking spot and warm hide with silk begonia leaves to provide some coverage while he chills, and his water dish.

The hide in the middle is his humid hide, which gets misted daily if needed

On the right there is a faux branch with a soft rubber faux vining plant, and another group of begonia leaves to provide some coverage for him outside of his hides. Next to that is his cool hide and his dish of calcium powder.

My plans for the future:
- More plants!! I want him to have more spots to break eyesight. He should feel comfy walking around!
- I mentioned changing the paper towels already, but I'll be doing a 70/30 mix of topsoil and washed play sand.
- I will be adding a few flat stones towards the middle, and more decor for enrichment themed after BOTW.
- His current warm hide and basking spot is a cheap plastic hide, and I really want to replace it with something better. I'm thinking of getting some slate, breaking it up, and stacking it (with expanding foam to bond it together) to make a better hide and basking area.

Hizashi is doing great so far! From everything I've read it's normal for them to not want to eat for a week or so, but he's completely comfortable! He's got a great appetite and isn't afraid of me at all! He's still cautious when moving around his home, but I know that with time he will fully adjust to his new surroundings.

PLEASE let me know if everything I've done so far is okay, or if there is something I'm missing!! I want to have him happy, healthy, and around for a long time!
