How long are the waitlist queues?

Just wondering how long it normally takes. Been on it for a few months, i called them and they said “so many drivers, cannot accept you sorry” I get that, but at the same time i had someone I know get off the waitlist in a few weeks after signing up and we applied at the same time, i did it a day before them. So am I just unlucky? Or what?
