i feel like adding a spoiler tag is a bit silly considering everybody here has likely already finished the series, but for future tpw enjoyers… fine.

girl… we are in this war. it began a lot faster than i had expected it to but i really can’t complain i love the pacing so far and i am so locked in. annotation screenshots for reference again but holy cow i have… so much to think about. please no spoilers!! you really don’t have to answer my questions, i’m just doing this for my own sake just to keep my brain storming and for funsies and such.

i am still so intrigued about nezha!! currently he is badly injured and i need him to wake up i need a rinezha debrief sooo so bad please i’m begging. where the fuck is jiang??? this could be a classic case of “spoke too soon” but i have soooo many questions. am i making inappropriate connections?? is he really the gate???? and does nobody know it??? just the empress/vipress? obviously nobody knows right? or jun wouldn’t be such a whiny little shit. also, what did rin do exactly..?? i thought she got the phoenix to back off so isn’t it that “all” she did was incinerate the federation general? bc what’s all this about her burning east sinegard? wasn’t that jiang yeah? so then is everybody thinking she is the one who did all to the army and not jiang? again about nezha but i’m just sooo curious is he gonna understand rin now after what he saw jiang do and try to pursue shamanism now with her? bro loves power there’s no way he won’t want it for himself after discovering that it exists after all. i really hope there’s no amnesia please i’m so over the amnesia trope bruh that would just be sooo convenient now wouldn’t it. or maybe he’s gonna continue being an asshole bc he’s not matured and he’s still just a traumatized whiny kid after all so maybe he will lie and say he saw nothing. and the hatred he and rin shared will continue to fester as planned. that is a possibility. i saw a rinezha battle alliance coming but again, i didn’t think it would happen so soon!! very very delightful early payoff. and then, lastly (for now), is rin really a speerly? i knew she would be important bc she’s an orphan like she could be anybody you know? but then is this why her god is the phoenix? is this right or is it simply that she was just able to call upon the phoenix bc she has so much hate and aggression.

thank you for interacting!! idk if i will continue to post updates so regularly yall i am employed. but i hope i can! i love love love this reading experience so far and i’m happy to be here! back to reading af🤭

HELLO POPPY WAR ENJOYERS!!
