Nightmare Moon

Anyone else think it’s crazy how scared ponies are of nightmare moon when she was only around for such a short period of time? We saw the whole fight start to finish, all contained within the castle of the two sisters. Seems silly for everyone to be so scared of her dark return the first episode when she never wreaked havoc in the first place.
