Is my husband having more fun than me?
My husband (42 M)works full time (from home) and I am a SAHM (38 F). We’ve been married for 10 years. He travels for work sometimes. Maybe once every few months. But sometimes up to 5-6 days at a time. He’s in sales so he is out doing dinner and golf and fun stuff during the work trips. That’s fine but I’m honestly jealous. During golf season he also does a fair amount of golfing for work and the occasional round for pleasure. I just feel like I’m here looking after kids and he gets to enjoy life and have fun even though it’s “during work hours.” He thinks that just because it’s during work hours he can do whatever. I try to explain that his time belongs to him and mine belongs to the kids. If I want to do something during “work hours” I have to find a sitter or schedule it with him. He juggles a lot, I get that. He’s taking calls on the gold course and moving his schedule around so he can fit it all in but I just can’t help but feel envious or angry whenever he “gets” to do something enjoyable for work. Has anyone dealt with a similar situation? How did you deal with it?
