Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will receive a Switch 2 Edition

Smash ultimate is one of the four games released by Nintendo that included a Labo VR mode (excluding the Labo VR pack in title). The others being Captain Toad, Mario Odyssey, and Breath of the Wild.

Captain Toad and Mario Odyssey have been confirmed by Nintendo to be receiving free upgrade for the switch 2, while Breath of the Wild is getting the Switch 2 Edition.

The updates don't specifically state that they will be removing the VR modes, however, it is very likely that they will add a check to see if you are running the Switch 2 and disable the Labo VR mode.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate is the only game in this list that has not received confirmation of an update. Which leads me to believe Nintendo is waiting for a better time to announce the Switch 2 Edition of Smash Ultimate. (or we could just recieve a quiet patch.)
