Advice/tips/tricks from dad's of BF babies needed

Infant 2-12 Months

What strategy/trick do dad's of breastfed babies have for getting their kiddos to sleep when mom is not around? My (36F) son (11m) is nursed to sleep. I know some don't believe this to be the best strategy, but I enjoy it and so does he so it works well for us. I know he can fall asleep without it - and he frequently does if tired at a social event, in the car, in the stroller etc. He doesn't do well with transitions - cradled in arms to crib, car to crib, stroller to crib. He will wake up 99% of the time. Now that he is getting most of his nutrients and is full from food and can have a cup of milk, I am hoping to go out in the evenings here and there to spend time with friends and maybe have a guilt-free drink or two. Not all the time, just a couple days a month. My question is for dad's (and other parents) who have babies and hold down the fort while other parent is gone - what are your tricks for getting your baby down to sleep without boobs? Lol I need to give some advice and tips to my fiancè, who has only ever managed to get our son to sleep by crying himself to sleep in his arms 🥲 I blame myself for not leaving our son with my fiancè more BUT he was exclusively bf and refuses to take a bottle for the most part so I haven't really bothered with pumping. 2 ounces here or there that mostly ended up dumped in his bath water 😬 Please help 🙏
