WRX to STi Trunk Swap - Third Brake Light relocation
Hello, its me again, lol.
I posted not too long ago on this subreddit about swapping the WRX to an STi trunk or if I get a wing what to do with the holes.
Well, I've found an STi Trunk in the same color at a decent price which is great news.
However, while I'm thinking of pulling the trigger, the third brake light question came in mind. I did some digging to see if someone already has answered this question somewhere but nothing specific, I only found one post on NAISOC that wasn't very detailed.
What I'm referring to is, the third brake light (the high centered light) on the lip wing (I have a premium 2011 wrx). Since I'll be swapping the trunk, I lose my 3rd brake light. Although I have an F1 style light, its not compliant with Texas law, and I honestly like the look of having a high centered one. The STi's have one at the rear windshield.
With that being said, anyone with any knowledge on this? Is the wiring already there? Do I only need a third brake light and a drill? New interior piece for the rear? I have no idea.
TIA.
