Sleep only on contact

My baby just turned 2 months old and sleeps both day and night only on contact.. tried several times to put him only in the next to me or in the carrycot... nothing shortly after, even if he is still cuddled he wakes up and cries. Honestly, I had tried to swaddle him but I don't like it a bit and I'm probably not even capable of doing it because he can't get everything done, as soon as you try to contain him a little he gets agitated and wriggles like a madman!! The same goes for the sleeping bag... putting it on him is a struggle and then he sweats a lot and imagine if he relaxes and sleeps... especially now that it's hot. Believe me I really don't know what to do! I'm happy that he sleeps on contact in some ways for cuddles... but I would also like to sleep perhaps without receiving kicks from him during the night when he gets so agitated for apparently no reason. I don't know how to make him fall asleep without him being attached to me, also because otherwise he doesn't sleep at all and stays completely awake!! I also try to tire him out but nothing works... I'm a little desperate. How can I do it?? Advice welcome!
