I write narrative fiction now?! I write narrative fiction now!
Friends, I honestly can't believe that I've written four (count 'em, four!) narrative stories for Midas Labs. I thought I was just an audio script writer. What happened?!
I am grateful to everyone who has encouraged me to try a new format of writing. My mind is practically bursting with ideas, and I can't wait to start a specific thread that's just my narrative story archive. That'll be coming soon for sure.
In the meantime, here are the four stories I've written for Midas, along with a few notes about each one.
If you like these stories feel free to tell me-- even more, tell me what you liked, or what you'd like to hear more of.
And hey, if you're a writer yourself, hop into the Midas pool! The swimming is lovely and the company couldn't be better.
Until we meet again, y'all, happy reading:
The Cafeteria Incident My first narrative story. I got to bring back some characters who made their first appearances in audio scripts and [ahem] flesh out their personalities a little bit more. This was super fun to write. And of course there's plenty of expansion to go around in this one.
What's In Room 9B? On the surface, this might seem like some pretty standard Sabu smut. That was the plan. But as I got to writing the end of this story, it became very personal. I was surprised that I had written a metaphor for a cherished moment in my life. I didn't know writing could do that. But it did, and I'm still in awe.
Miss Grant Will See You Now After showing off the effects of Miss Grant's talents in a previous audio script (which was filled wonderfully by u/Lalibet here, I knew I had to bring her back to see how well she performs on the job. (Very well, it turns out) I don't think we've seen the last of her.
37 Makes A Discovery Oh, how I love writing for 37! He's such a dumbdumb sweetheart. It was a departure for me to write in his voice, or at least his inner-thoughts. But what a joy it was. I hope he gets more creative in the future, too. I've got some ideas...
There will definitely be more to come in the future. For now, I'm deep in the audio editing of a Midas story that I believe will blow everyone's socks off. More on that soon as well!
Much love to everyone, 💕
