I love what a bag of complex contradictions John Redcorn was

* He's tall, strong and handsome, but woefully uncoordinated when it comes to anything actually physical like sports.

* By all appearances, he's done a much better job aging than all his neighbors, but in reality, he's going through something of a mid-life crisis and feels like a failure who wasn't able to realize his dream of becoming a rockstar. His friends on the other hand are generally much more secure in who they are and how their lives are going.

* He outwardly projects a lot of strength and wisdom, but is also deeply insecure about both himself and his relationships, as seen when he's threatened by Hank feeling attracted to Nancy, despite their relationship being an affair to begin with.

* He's a hypocrite, but is seemingly at least self aware enough about it to feel some shame, which can be seen when, as he gains more respect for Dale, he becomes more and more uncomfortable with his affair.

He's such a memorable character for so many reasons. They could've taken the easy route and just made him a "voice of reason" type character, but instead, he's just as silly as the rest of the town
