Any Pistons fans know why Rick Carlise was fired after two seasons with the team?

Despite having back to back 50 game winning seasons, getting to ECF during his final season as head coach and winning COTY during his first season as head coach, the team still fired him. My dad told me that he heard that someone told him that Carlise was fired due to being an asshole towards the coaching staff and Bill Davidson to the point Davidson had enough and fired him. Does anyone know if that is true? Was he also an asshole towards the players, fans, etc.?
