Arbitrage Funds VS FD

I recently learned about Arbitrage funds. Got to know that in average cases it tends to give higher returns than FD.

Plus it doesn’t have any locking period.

So is it always recommended to do this instead of FD.

Please let me know in case I am missing something or tell me why FDs are still a better option
