Is it a problem if my inverter does not have a BMS but the battery does?

So my inverter does not has a BMS, I can just manually configure the overcharge and discharge limit, but the lithium battery I will be getting will have a BMS included.

Also the inverter does not have a CAN or RS485.

If I just get a battery that has a BMS included and manually configure the inverter for the overcharge and discharge, none of the above should be a problem right?
