Are there any mods recommended for first time players?

Don't Starve Together has been on my radar for a few years now, but I haven't had the opportunity to play it, since it wasn't really up any of my friends allys. However, I plan on finally trying it out soon.

Some games have frustrating mechanics, weird UI choices, or just quality of life stuff that can be fixed with mods, and there are usually at least one or two the community agrees are best to use, even for first time players, and I was wondering what those mods were for DST.
