why do ppl correlate being gay to only having sexual attraction to same gender

I've seen sm ppl here saying that they don't want to know abt who the queer ppl are "having sex with". but no one's telling u that?? being gay doesn't automatically mean only having sexual intercourse. if we take ur logic then straight ppl shouldn't be out in public cuz they r also showing who they r "having sex with".

being queer is so much more than sex. it's about falling in love with someone knowing that ure different, being together with the one u want to spend ur entire time with, it's about experiencing love different from what u have seen around yourself, it's about realizing that it's the person that matters and not their gender and that you would give anything to experience something "normal" with them. it's about yearning and it's so beautiful.

it's just two people falling in love and being attracted to each other, how can that offend you so much?
