Clearing the confusion related to the band system

according to the rank predictor, if anyone’s board percentage was an exact multiple of 5, they would be placed in the higher band eg. 90 percentage would be in band 9. But later on, people started sharing that with such percentage, you would be placed in the previous band, and the same thing happened to our seniors. I called manipal regarding this and they said the same ie 90 would be considered in band 8. my board percentage was exactly 95, and considering it in band 10 my predicted rank was 644 but it was 1.6k in band 9. My final rank came out to be 12xx. this means- an exact multiple of 5 will indeed place you in the higher band.
