I need to rant...

🤬Rant about DD🥵

Had a long day dashing today and really just need to let it out for a moment, coz holy man, what in the world about being a dasher completely removes the humanity from some people??

A little context - I live in a sizeable enough city (metro ~680k pop.) to where there is a very wide, diverse pool of dashers, and your chance of running into the same dasher again, or at the very least remembering them, on a pickup is fairly small. But man, that does not give you the excuse to be an absolute d*** to restaurant staff, customers, or even fellow dashers. I had THREE separate dashers cut me in line, park me in, and even tell me to get 'bent' for just saying "pardon me" when they were standing in the middle of the literal only doorway to the restaurant... Also had 2 orders I picked up that were remakes because the original orders never got delivered to customers that were more than polite/kind.

Like, I get it, we all have frustrating or even bad days, and I also understand its a "competitive market" - and some dash days are a grind. But that doesn't mean you gotta take it out on others. We're all out here trying to make a buck. But it costs absolutely nothing to at the absolute very least say "hi" to the restaurant staff (as compared to nonverbally shoving your phone right in their face), to wait your turn in line, to just be respectful to those around you, or even...yknow, deliver the food.

It's stuff like this that give us a bad reputation both at restaurants, and to customers. We're all people first.

Anyways, rant over, thanks for coming to my DashTalk!
