Non-binary and hormones

Discussion

I don't really know or care how to label myself. Queer works because it's non specific. Non-binary sounds okay, but at the end of the day I don't really know if I would choose woman in a perfect world and non-binary is just easier. But right now I don't really care much, all I really need to know is I want to be more feminine.

Anyway the point is my therapist has told me that in Austria I would have to say I'm a woman to start hormone therapy. I guess you're not allowed to just be non-binary or gender fluid and go on estrogen.

What other experiences do you have throughout Europe? Do you have to basically lie to your doctors if you want to go on estrogen? I don't really like that idea.

The other thing is I'm not 100% convinced I should be on hormones permanently (which I think is obvious and normal) but I don't really see downsides and the first couple months seem kinda like a "free trial" as everything's reversible. But my therapist warned me but to talk about it like that to the prescribing doctor because it sounds bad. Which kind of makes sense, I guess.

I dunno. I'm just wondering what are other experiences like? Obviously I'm mostly interested in Austria but also curious about other countries.
