Block Wars Origins 4 Rescore and Discussion
Hello, everyone! We are back for day 7 of the new dailyish series. Collect, Crypt, and Hunt got pretty cool changes this event that I’ll talk about in a few days due to the backlog of new scoring systems I have to describe. It also features our first repeat first indiv player.
Collect (BWO 2 and onward)
Now that you can see how many blocks a team has at any given time, I give out points for blocks every minute instead of just at the end. The points are equal to each team’s percentage of the total blocks that minute multiplied by 833. The blocks at the end of the game are worth double.
Spleef (3 Rounds)
Kills still aren’t tracked in this game, so it’s just placement now. The first place player gets 188pts going down for each lower placement until the bottom player gets 5pts. If multiple players survive, the points given are the average of the points they would have gotten if only one of them had survived. There are no longer team bonuses.
Skybolt (BWO 2)
The only place you can find data for this is in transcript mode and Tommy333 was tabbed out for portions of this game, so accurate data just does not exist anymore.
Anyway, I just took the real points for this game, added the necessary number of points to everyone’s score so that the bottom player had 10% as many points as the top player (rounded up), and then took everyone’s percentage of the total game score and multiplied by 5000.
Shoutouts
The first shoutout goes to MarcusDoesMC for getting top 5 in every game except Construction, and getting 2nd individual on a last place team, beating the likes of WitheredFlux and Standen05.
FireBreathMan gets a shoutout for getting top 5 in every game for his second event in a row. His placements so far are 2,1,1 and he is the only player who averages over 3200. This time, he won Collect and Hunt.
Mysticat gets a shoutout for getting top 4 in every game in the second half and outfragging Wolfeei in 5th individual. She even won Spleef.
MrOrcaDood gets a shoutout for subbing in after game six and still almost not getting last. He got top 8 in both games he played and pretty much singlehandedly lifted that team to third place.
The highest climber in this event was ShadowDragoMC (13th > 10th) and the furthest fall belonged to MCmorganplayz (9th > 11th)
Final Thoughts and Notes
Team Name got pretty much the perfect game order this event. They only beat Funk by 30pts unmultiplied. Standen05 and natcrackers switched accounts for this event. In these stats they are listed as the person behind the keyboard, not by account name.
Now I open the discussion up to you to talk about the event in the comments. Stats, thoughts, shoutouts of your own, and really bad humor are all welcome. Have fun with it. These posts are a celebration!
