Advice Regarding Vacationer Offer
Hi everyone,
I'm currently in my fourth year studying a Bachelor of Laws and Commerce (Accounting major). Recently, I’ve been fortunate enough to receive two vacation program offers—one in Audit at PwC and the other in Tax & Legal at KPMG.
Before making a decision, I’d love to hear from anyone who has experience working in either of these teams or firms. I have a few questions:
- What is the work and culture like in PwC’s Audit team vs KPMG’s Tax & Legal team?
- Is there a big difference between PwC and KPMG?
- What are the exit opportunities like from each area? For example, do people go on to in-house roles, government, law firms, consulting etc..?
- Do you have any advice on how to get the most out of the vacationer experience in either stream?
- What does career progression typically look like in both audit and tax/legal?
- What should I consider when choosing between these offers?
- How interchangeable are the team later on if I regret my decision? i.e can I move back and forth between the teams?
Any insights big or small would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for your time.
