Would like some insight into the past year of my life

Discussion

I've been through a stressful period of my life that in my mind started with a shroom trip that turned sour due to the fact that it was a bigger dose than I thought and it kicked in before anyone else. (I wanted a small easy trip), now from there problems within my family started to arise and fostered a stressful home environment due to the sheer amount of negativity that was being permeated everywhere. The stress would just pile and and snowball into more stress. I went overseas in January and that was a nice break from it all but when I got back, I was back to the same old stresses. Only this time I had the added stress of having to find a job and having to hop on a benefit, which is both difficult, demotivating and even more stressful.

The bad trip I had made me feel very anxious and caused me to have thoughts like "Will I be the same again" (this sunk pure dread into me). The trip in itself messed with my head for about a month but I was sound after that. Can't say I've given it a lot of thought this year until now when a few days ago my friend was telling me about his very scary trip with acid. Now I'm ruminating about my trip thinking "Would it of been different if it had never happened". "Was that the trigger of this all? or did it end up being apart of a soup of problems, and that trail of problems didn't allow my brain to have a full break"

I now feel like my brain never fully let go of the trip even though Ive barely been thinking about it for months, like it's searching for a resolution. However I feel like the trip is in the past, there's more to life than that trip and I simply don't see how it should define my life.

I feel like since this trail of problems arose, it's been a lot harder to manage my emotions. I'm generally just more anxious (like my brain is fixating onto the trip that happened a year ago), I was having insane outbursts of anger that I simply couldn't control until I could (not having sm of those anymore)

Id love any insight, thanks!
