I’m curious if the word paisa and the Italian pizano have anything to do with each other?

From my understanding paisa just means like someone from my country (Mexico) generally if you wanna be correct, but loosely can mean just like a first generation Latino immigrant to America right. And from what I’m seeing when ppl say my paizan or paizano it pretty much means the same thing but for Italians
