Curious—what’s a fair price for a hot meal near campus these days?
Hey all—just looking for some honest input, especially from students.
I’m one of the owners of a new spot near campus (University & Milvia) that serves ramen made from scratch—real broth, house-made noodles, nothing instant. It’s definitely labor- and ingredient-heavy, and while we’re not a nonprofit (we’ve got families to support too), we’re really trying to keep things accessible.
The goal is to be a place where you can get a legit, satisfying meal without blowing your budget or feeling like it’s only for special occasions.
So I’m wondering—what’s the usual range you’re comfortable spending on a hot meal out? Like $10? $13? $15? I really appreciate any honest thoughts—it helps us figure out how to keep this sustainable and student-friendly.
Thanks 🙏
