Used an Insulin syringe to inject instead of a syringe with a longer needle, did i just waste a shot?

So i used an insulin syringe to inject, but i normally use syringes with a longer needle. Does it still work or do I need the syringes with the longer needles for the E to get deep enough into my fat?
