had microsurgery one month ago

figured i would give my experience this last month with my bilateral varicocele surgery for everyone!

pre surgery: was really nervous and didn’t sleep the entire night. was having pain and discomfort leading up to it. went to the ER initially 1 month before surgery and my urologist recommended surgery since the pain wasn’t going completely away

surgery: went so smoothly and was knocked out for it and in 0 pain after

first week: was definitely in pain and had pillows under my knees and laying on my back. basically waddled around everywhere and the pain meds they prescribed helped a ton

second week: things didn’t seem to change till exactly one week after. i was able to move around a little more in less pain and that was consistent until week 3

third week: i could gently walk around more without pain but if i do then my balls become more sensitive and i can feel some discomfort. definitely still took it easy

fourth week: still some discomfort and sensitivity. my urologist told me at my follow up appointment i probably won’t feel 100% till 3 months after surgery
