Help finding an old and non-existing address

Question

Hi!

I've finally have taken my mom, a nisei, to visit Japan for the first time. During our visit to Yokohama, by the sheer of luck, I came across with Japanese Overseas Museum that I was not aware and it wasn't part of our itinerary.

Probably it was the highlight of our trip, we were able to find the vessel, date and former address of my old grand father (that I never met).

And there was this super helpful lady that went through all the books and records to provide the most detailed data. I super recommend for any Japanese descendant and it's so impressive to learn that all immigrant hate hasn't changed since then.

Now, the address is an old format and in a town that does not exist any longer. I've taken the picture and used AI to help me get as close as possible. (I can't add pictures here).

I'm wondering if anyone here would be able to help me find a more precise location than just of Kazuno city.

This is the reply from AI when I asked to help me find the address:

From the image, the address appears to be: 秋田縣鹿角郡花輪町一八三 番地ノ内一番 This translates to: Akita Prefecture, Kazuno District, Hanawa Town 183 Address No. 1 (or "within Address No. 1") This is an address in Japan. It's likely an older address format, as "Hanawa Town" (花輪町 - Hanawa-machi) is now part of the city of Kazuno (鹿角市 - Kazuno-shi). To find this address, you would typically look for it within the current Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture. The "一八三" (183) would be a house number or land plot number, and "一番" (No. 1) would further specify a particular plot or subdivision within that number.
