[PS1][1990s?] A Game I can barely recall the beginning of from Childhood

[PS1][1990s] I've watched so many intro videos for PS1 games to find this, but its very hard, its kind of cartoony characters and the intro video includes a girl, some sort of damsel in distress to save and she is falling into an abyss, possibly a spiral like animated abyss while the premise is being explained by maybe the antagonist. Possibly anime related type of game. I want to doubt it's an RPG, but that's still possible. I truly doubt its anything known very well for it was a part of a few games given to me by my uncle, one game being Shadow Master.
