Does the generation follow any kind of canonical order?

Yesterday I had 'The Score' by the Fugees, and today I got the miseducation of Lauryn Hill. I have only been following the project for a few days so I'm still learning the in's and out's of the mechanics, but is this just a coincidence?

Yesterday I was reading up on the fugees to paint the picture behind the album, so it was a really pleasant surprise getting to continent the same theme today. Does the generation play albums from common artists in any kind of order? E.g will my first album by the beatles be please please me or will it just be completely random
