Finger tattoo help?

Recently got a hand tattoo and I wanted to put it on my caw. However, I can't put images on the fingers. With regular mapping, the image stops at the knuckles, and when I press R3, the image disappears when it moves further than the wrist. I was going to try to create the tattoo using shapes from the design tab instead of importing an image of my hand into the game. Anyone know what I can try?
