AIO for not inviting my cousin to the baby’s first birthday because she said he “looks weird”?

My son is turning one next month. We’re doing a small party, just family and close friends.

My cousin (22F) made a comment a few weeks ago that really upset me. She saw a picture of my baby and said, “Oh, his eyes are kind of… intense. He looks like a wise old man. Creepy, honestly.”

I just stared at her. She laughed and said, “It’s a compliment! He looks smart.” But it really rubbed me the wrong way. She’s made comments like “he’s not cute yet” and “he’ll grow into his face.”

I decided not to invite her to the party. She found out and called me dramatic and said I’m being “overprotective over a baby who doesn’t even know what’s happening.”

My mom thinks I should just “let it go” and “not start family drama over baby pictures.” But it really hurt me.
