Just got off the phone with American. They want 275 for a change fee even though it says full refund to travel credit. So 275 plus the fare difference. They said even if I did the full refund to travel credit and tried to purchase a new ticket I would still have to pay the 275.

I talked to them on Friday via the chat and they told me there is no fees I would only have to pay the fare difference. No where does it say anything about this change fee. How can they just add fees without it being listed and even though I paid extra so it would say “full refund to travel credit”
