1 story or mutiple floors Opinion

Hi I am alone living alone etc. I live on a not so large ranch with horses. I am for 1 story because no stairs etc and all rooms should be accessible but for 2 floors I have better view on the top floor and more cost effective. PS: compound house so kitchen dining and ... are not included. Only a master suite with dressing and lounge room. Can I even put something and the top layer? I need dressing down, and living too. I can't imagine myself go up stairs just to wash my muddy hands after working outside. 2nd does the noise pass through ceiling much?
