Magic ore in treasure groves?

I've achieved 900 years in the treasure grove, but I have not encountered even a single magic ore deposit in there, despite the crafting material location hints indicating that it can be found in the treasure grove.

Is it 1,000+? Is it a mistake in the crafting menu? Am I missing anything else? Thanks in advance.
