Could one get dressed/undressed completely silently?

This is mostly based on me getting ready for bed across from my sleeping roommate. But I started to think in terms of A Quiet Place or similar life or death situations where you might have to live in silence.

When I’m trying to get ready quietly, I think I’m pretty good at it. Years of sneaking around my house as a kid when my parents were asleep taught me well. However fabric brushes against your skin no matter what when you put it on or take it off. Slow or fast, doesn’t really matter.

Aside from just getting dressed, there’s gotta be loads of other things one would have to do eventually that inherently make some degree of sound.

Not to make it too dark but people did have to live like this at certain times during WWII. No? I know the question sounds silly but I imagine people have probably thought about this a lot.
